Appeals against detailed

Legal aid cases

An assisted person is not a party to the proceedings in an appeal against the court's decision at a detailed assessment hearing

Permission to appeal

Is not required to appeal against the decision of:

CPR Rules 44.14 or 48.7

Permission may be given by the costs judge, district judge, High Court or circuit judge who made the decision

Request for permission may be by letter (setting out basis for request) filed at court and served on other parties
